What Sets Us Apart
It's not just willpower — your physiology changes too.
Most men assume that if they could just eat a little cleaner and hit the gym a little harder, the weight would come off like it used to. But the body you had at 25 isn't the body you have now. Testosterone declines gradually with age, metabolism slows, lean muscle mass becomes harder to hold onto, and insulin resistance, stress-related cortisol changes, and thyroid dysfunction can quietly work against you.
The result is a body that stores fat more easily — especially around the midsection — and resists the strategies that used to work. That's not a discipline problem. It's a physiology problem.
At Renew Health & Wellness, we start with the whole picture — your hormones, your metabolism, your history, and your goals — and build a plan around what's actually going on under the hood.
The Approach
A smarter path to lasting weight loss
Our program isn't a one-size-fits-all protocol. It's a structured, medically supervised process that adapts to your body's needs at every stage.
What We Offer
Tools that work. Chosen for you — not just anyone.
No single approach works for every man. Jennifer selects from a range of evidence-based treatments based on your individual medical history, metabolic profile, and personal goals.
Our Philosophy
We treat what's driving the weight — not just the weight itself.
At Renew Health & Wellness, we believe weight loss and metabolic health are inseparable. That's why every patient receives a whole-body evaluation — not just a prescription.
Testosterone & Hormone Optimization
Testosterone, cortisol, and insulin all play a direct role in where your body stores fat and how easily it releases it. Declining testosterone in particular can drive increased belly fat, reduced muscle mass, lower energy, and a slower metabolism.
Thyroid Function
An underactive or suboptimally functioning thyroid can significantly slow metabolism and make weight loss feel impossible. We evaluate thyroid health thoroughly — including markers that are often overlooked in standard care.

Candidacy
Is this program right for you?
Our men's weight loss program is designed for a wide range of patients — but we take the time to confirm it's the right fit for you before we begin.

Have noticed increasing belly fat, low energy, or loss of muscle as you've aged
Have been told you have low or low-normal testosterone
Have been told you have insulin resistance, prediabetes, or metabolic syndrome
Are experiencing weight gain related to hormonal shifts or thyroid changes
Have gained weight following GLP-1 therapy for diabetes or have questions about GLP-1 for weight loss
Want a medically supervised approach with a provider who takes your history seriously
Are looking for sustainable results — not a short-term fix
Have certain cardiac, liver, or kidney conditions that affect medication options
Have a history of prostate concerns that warrants coordinated evaluation
Have a complex medical history that requires coordination with your primary provider
Not sure if you’re a candidate? A consultation with Jennifer will give you a clear, honest answer. She'll review your history and tell you exactly what's realistic — and what isn't.
Setting Expectations
Honest answers about GLP-1 therapies.
GLP-1 receptor agonists like semaglutide and tirzepatide are highly effective — but they're not without side effects for some patients, particularly during the early weeks of treatment. Jennifer believes in setting realistic expectations upfront.
Common early side effects may include:
Nausea, especially after meals
Changes in appetite or food preferences
Mild digestive changes (bloating, constipation, or loose stools)
Fatigue during the initial adjustment period
What we do about it: Jennifer uses gradual dose escalation to minimize side effects and adjusts your plan if needed. Most patients find that early side effects resolve within a few weeks as the body adjusts. You'll have a clear line of communication with our team throughout.
This isn't a medication you start blindly. GLP-1 therapies require appropriate medical screening and are not appropriate for everyone. Jennifer reviews your full health history and contraindications before prescribing — and monitors you closely once treatment begins.

Do I need a referral to be seen at Renew?
No referral is needed. You can book a consultation directly online or by calling our office.
Will insurance cover my treatment?
Coverage varies by plan. Our team can help you understand what may be covered. Many patients pay out of pocket for medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide, and Jennifer will discuss cost-effective options with you during your consultation.
How quickly will I see results?
Results vary by individual, starting medication, and starting health status. Many patients begin noticing changes in appetite and energy within the first few weeks. Meaningful weight loss typically becomes visible within one to three months of consistent treatment.
Can I do this program if I'm already on other medications?
Possibly, yes. Jennifer will review all of your current medications during your consultation to assess for interactions and determine which treatment options are appropriate for you.
Will losing weight affect my testosterone?
For many men, yes — in a good way. Excess body fat is associated with lower testosterone, and meaningful weight loss often supports healthier hormone levels. When appropriate, Jennifer evaluates and optimizes testosterone as part of your overall plan.
What if GLP-1 medications aren't right for me?
There are other effective options. GLP-1 therapies are one tool in a broader toolkit. If they're not appropriate based on your health history, Jennifer will discuss alternative oral medications, lifestyle-focused strategies, hormone optimization, and metabolic approaches.
