Reproductive & Sexual Health

Severe pelvic pain and unusually painful periods - clinically known as dysmenorrhea - are hallmark symptoms of endometriosis. This is a condition in which endometrial-like tissue grows outside the uterus and responds to hormonal cycling by inflaming and bleeding into the surrounding pelvic environment. At Renew Health and Wellness, Dr. Jennifer Redmond, CNP, DNP approaches endometriosis pain as a complex, multifactorial condition that demands more than simple pain management. Her evaluation begins with a thorough review of your symptom history, menstrual patterns, and prior diagnostic workup, combined with comprehensive hormone testing that assesses estrogen, progesterone, and inflammatory markers.

Because endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent condition, hormonal management is central to reducing lesion activity and the pain it generates. Dr. Jennifer Redmond, CNP, DNP works with you to develop a hormonally intelligent care plan that may include progesterone therapy to suppress endometrial growth, continuous hormonal protocols to eliminate cyclical stimulation of lesion sites, and evidence-based medications that reduce the estrogenic drive behind disease activity. Anti-inflammatory nutritional strategies are a critical adjunct to medical management, targeting the systemic inflammation that amplifies endometriosis pain. Guidance on movement, stress management, and sleep is also woven into your care plan.

For patients with complex or surgically confirmed disease, Dr. Jennifer Redmond, CNP, DNP coordinates care with specialist surgeons as needed, ensuring a truly integrated approach. Our on-site mental health therapist is available to support the significant psychological burden that chronic pelvic pain carries. At Renew Health and Wellness, endometriosis is treated as the serious, systemic condition it is - and you will receive care that reflects that seriousness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to help you make the right decision.

Can we keep our current care team while working with you?

Absolutely. Many patients work with us alongside their existing providers. Our integrative, root-cause approach complements traditional reproductive medicine, and we're happy to coordinate with your other providers.

What's your success rate?

Our patients achieve greater than 70% pregnancy success rates, and our outcomes continue to improve as we refine our protocols. Success rates vary based on individual factors including age, underlying conditions, and how long you've been trying — all of which we discuss honestly during your consultation.

I live outside of South Dakota — can I still be seen?

Yes. Dr. Redmond is licensed for telemedicine in South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Montana, Minnesota, and Wyoming, with licensure expanding to Florida and Arizona soon. You can also travel to our Sioux Falls clinic for in-person care. Fertility care often involves labs, which we coordinate with local labs near you.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance, which allows us to spend 60–120 minutes per appointment getting to the root cause rather than working within the limits of an insurance-driven system. We accept HSA and FSA payments, and we provide claim forms for potential reimbursement. Initial consultation is $250, with lab testing typically ranging from $150–$800 depending on what's needed.

Can testosterone therapy affect my fertility?

This is an important question. Standard testosterone replacement can actually suppress sperm production, so fertility optimization in men requires a careful, specialized approach. Dr. Redmond's men's health training allows her to optimize hormones in ways that support — rather than compromise — your fertility goals. This is exactly why a thorough evaluation matters before starting any therapy.
