Preventive Care & Wellness

Chronic stress, anxiety, and work-life imbalance are some of the most common health challenges people face today. While they may seem like purely emotional struggles, they carry real physical consequences. Left unaddressed, chronic stress can disrupt:

  • Cortisol patterns

  • Sleep quality and architecture

  • Immune function

  • Hormonal balance

  • Cardiovascular health

At Renew Health & Wellness, mental health counseling is not a referral or an afterthought. It is a fully integrated clinical service - built directly into your overall care plan.

Our licensed, on-site therapist works in direct partnership with Dr. Jennifer Redmond, CNP, DNP to ensure your mental and physical health are treated together. Your therapist uses proven, evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Psychoeducation

These methods help you build practical, sustainable strategies for managing stress, rebalancing work and personal life, and developing the psychological resilience that supports both your emotional and physical wellbeing.

At the same time, Dr. Jennifer Redmond, CNP, DNP addresses the physical side of chronic stress through medical management. This includes:

  • Optimizing cortisol regulation

  • Supporting adrenal function

  • Restoring hormonal balance disrupted by prolonged stress

  • Addressing the sleep and metabolic consequences of an overactivated nervous system

When medical care and psychological care work together, they create results that neither can achieve alone. Hormonal optimization reduces the biological burden on your nervous system, while therapy reduces the thought patterns and behaviors that keep stress going.

Nutritional guidance is also woven into your care as a complementary strategy. Specific foods and supplements can support cortisol regulation and neurotransmitter production - the brain chemicals that regulate mood, focus, and sleep.

At Renew Health & Wellness, your mental health is treated as inseparable from your physical health. The care you receive here reflects that understanding completely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to help you make the right decision.

Can we keep our current care team while working with you?

Absolutely. Many patients work with us alongside their existing providers. Our integrative, root-cause approach complements traditional reproductive medicine, and we're happy to coordinate with your other providers.

What's your success rate?

Our patients achieve greater than 70% pregnancy success rates, and our outcomes continue to improve as we refine our protocols. Success rates vary based on individual factors including age, underlying conditions, and how long you've been trying — all of which we discuss honestly during your consultation.

I live outside of South Dakota — can I still be seen?

Yes. Dr. Redmond is licensed for telemedicine in South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Montana, Minnesota, and Wyoming, with licensure expanding to Florida and Arizona soon. You can also travel to our Sioux Falls clinic for in-person care. Fertility care often involves labs, which we coordinate with local labs near you.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance, which allows us to spend 60–120 minutes per appointment getting to the root cause rather than working within the limits of an insurance-driven system. We accept HSA and FSA payments, and we provide claim forms for potential reimbursement. Initial consultation is $250, with lab testing typically ranging from $150–$800 depending on what's needed.

Can testosterone therapy affect my fertility?

This is an important question. Standard testosterone replacement can actually suppress sperm production, so fertility optimization in men requires a careful, specialized approach. Dr. Redmond's men's health training allows her to optimize hormones in ways that support — rather than compromise — your fertility goals. This is exactly why a thorough evaluation matters before starting any therapy.
